We were built around the half of this problem nobody could address.
Privateer LLC was formed in Wichita, Kansas to operate that middle layer as a service: staffed watch, a written standard, and reporting with provenance intact. We are not a hardware company that added monitoring. Monitoring is the product; and we’re uniquely positioned to deliver it.
The counter-uncrewed-aircraft market organized itself around hardware. Sensors got better every year, and the operational gap stayed exactly where it was - not in whether an aircraft could be seen, but in whether anyone was watching at the time, whether the alert was triaged by someone who understood it, and whether what came out the other end was good enough for a responder, an investigator or a regulator to act on.
Watch and analytic positions are filled against a written standard rather than opportunistically, we draw from:
Prior military, law enforcement, or ISR operational background
Demonstrated airspace, sensor, or intelligence-analysis experience
Background screening appropriate to site sensitivity, before access
Trained and evaluated against our escalation and reporting standard
Privateer also draws on outside advisors for analytic tradecraft, federal engagement, and contracting structure. Advisors support the program; operational accountability stays with company leadership.
Privacy by design
Our sensing approach is selected so that lawful operation does not depend on operator discipline. We do not demodulate or store communication content, and we do not collect against people or ground activity.
Chain of custody
Detections are recorded with time-stamped provenance, controlled handling, and a defined retention schedule, so that a report produced months earlier can still be relied upon.
Information security
Safeguarding aligned to NIST SP 800-171 practices, with access control, logging, and personnel screening appropriate to the sensitivity of the customer's site data.
Insured operations
Commercial general liability, professional liability, and cyber coverage carried in the market rather than self-insured, with certificates available to customers on request.
Stated limits of performance
Coverage, detection expectations, and exclusions are written into the agreement. We do not market a probability of detection we cannot evidence at your specific site.
Customer control of data
Site data belongs to the customer. Disclosure to any third party, including federal authorities, occurs under written consent that the customer may revoke.
Request a capability briefing.
We brief agencies, infrastructure operators, and prospective teammates directly. Tell us the site or the mission and we will come prepared with a specific concept of operations rather than a general overview.
